Children’s Book Illustration

Expressive characters, colourful worlds and little details for young readers to discover.

I illustrate children’s books with a focus on personality, emotion and storytelling. From first character sketches to finished pages, I work with you to bring your story to life.

Stories Across the Pages

A closer look at my book projects, following the characters through different scenes, moods and adventures.

Adam and the Potato Adventure - published. Adam is a curious boy who went to the farm to learn more about the journey of food from farm to plate. Where do potatoes come from? That's only one of the things Adam will learn.

Coralie and the Gifting Tide - work in progress. What happens when you find a thing that doesn't belong to you? Is it yours to keep? Coralie, a sweet and kind mermaid, has a lesson to teach us.

Adam meets the bees - work in progress. Adam's learning is never over. He loves honey on toast. But where is the honey coming from? What is pollen? What is nectar? And what else are bees doing all year? These are just some of the questions Adam has.

From Your Manuscript to a Finished Book

Getting to Know Your Story

We’ll discuss your manuscript, intended age group, ideas and the kind of book you want to create.

Characters and Page Sketches

I develop the characters and plan the illustrations across the book, with time for your feedback before moving into colour.

Colour and Final Artwork

Once the sketches are agreed, I create the finished illustrations and prepare the files for the agreed format.

Project Scope

I can help with character design, cover and interior illustrations, page layout and print-ready formatting. We’ll agree on the scope of your project before work begins.

A Personal Connection to Children’s Stories

Creating books for my own children drew me towards children’s illustration. As a mother of three who also works in a nursery, I enjoy seeing the stories and small details that catch children’s attention. That curiosity shapes the characters and worlds I draw.

Have a Story in Mind?

Tell me a little about your book, who it’s for and what you need help with. If you have a manuscript or a timeline in mind, you’re welcome to share those too.
